We are a family-oriented participant in the Boy Scouts of America program designed for girls and boys in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our goal is to help the girls and boys build character, train in the responsibilities of good citizenship and stewardship of nature and develop confidence and independence through life skill learning adventures.
The Scouts are organized into Dens, by age, Lion (Kindergarten), Tiger (1st grade), Wolf (2nd grade), Bear (3rd grade), Webelos I (4th grade), and Webelos II (5th grade). The Den Meetings are where girls and boys learn new skills and develop interest in new things. They participate in indoor and outdoor activities and go on field trips. As a member of a small group of 6 to 10 girls and boys they learn good sportsmanship and good citizenship. They learn how to have a good relationship with others. And they learn and live the Cub Scout motto, Do your Best, not just for themselves but also for the Den, Pack and Community.
The Pack consists of all the Dens and volunteers. The Pack Meetings occur the first Monday of each month. This is a gathering for the Cub Scout Families, the Scouts, parents, and siblings. Scouting is open to all and all are always welcome! This is an important time when the girls and boys receive social recognition when they are awarded the “badges” for the activities they participated. We also have special activities and speakers. Family involvement is an essential part of Cub Scouting. Please talk with a current pack adult volunteer leader to see where you can help. Your volunteer time will count towards your 40 hours required if your child attends St. Louise School.
Scouts has been around for over 100 years. There is much more exciting information to share about the program and Scouting experience. Living here in the Pacific Northwest the Scouting experience is really, quite magical. Please sign up for more information here.
